The Paris climate talks are the environmental politics event of decade. Writing before the conclusion of the conference, I feel positive about improvements to the governance model of the annual conferences, but cautious about the prospects of effective climate change mitigation (and adaptation). I have published the following blogs and articles in recent weeks to introduce the conference to those unfamiliar with its existence. The articles explore the significance of the conference as an international politics event, the UK’s place in the European Union, and the impacts of austerity on climate policy.
